چکیده
The wastewater of the dye industry can be characterized by a complex chemical composition and consists numerous dyes. Bioadsorbents are increasingly applied for biosorption dyes because they inexpensive environmentally friendly. Rice husk (RH) is potential agricultural waste that converted into bioadsorbents cationic Herein, removal methylene blue (MB) basic red 9 (BR9) Hungarian rice (HRH) Indonesian (IRH) using binary was investigated. Adsorbents were zeta potential, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy. Batch evaluated influence different variables, including pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, initial concentrations. Several factors MB BR9 onto assessed main effect, Pareto charts, normal probability plots, interaction effect in factorial design. optimum time 60 min. Isotherm kinetic models fitted to Brunauer–Emmett–Teller multilayer Elovich equation based on correlation coefficients nonlinear chi-square. Results showed capacity HRH 10.4 mg/g 10 BR9; values IRH 9.3 9.6 mg/g, respectively. Therefore, found effective adsorbents removing via biosorption.

Adsorption of Ni(II) and Cd(II) from Aqueous Solutions Using Modified Rice Husk
Background and purpose: Recently, release of pollutants such as heavy metal ions to the environment becomes one of the most important problems for soil and water. The present study was conducted to introduce modified rice husk (RH) as a new low-cost adsorbent. Materials and Methods: In this study, tartaric acid modified RH (TARH), was used as an adsorbent for removal of Ni(II) and Cd(II) from w...
متن کاملBiosorption of Fe(II) and Mn(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution by Rice Husk Ash
Rice husk ash (RHA), an agricultural waste, was used as biosorbent for the removal of Iron(II) and Manganese(II) ions from aqueous solutions. The structural and morphological characteristics of RHA and its elemental compositions before and after adsorption of Fe(II) and Mn(II) were determined by scanning electron microscopic (SEM) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyses. Batch experiments were ca...
متن کاملBiosorption of Zinc from Aqueous Solution Using Chemically Treated Rice Husk
In this study, adsorption of zinc onto the adsorbent (untreated rice husk and NaOH-treated rice husk) was examined. During the removal process, batch technique was used, and the effects of pH and contact time were investigated. Langmuir isotherm was applied in order to determine the efficiency of NaOH-treated rice husk used as an adsorbent. The zinc adsorption was fast, and equilibrium was atta...

* Corresponding author The potential to remove Cr (VI) from aqueous solutions through biosorption using the husk of Bengal gram (Cicer arientinum), was investigated in batch experiments. The results showed removal of 99.9% of chromium in the 10 mgl chromium solution, the biomass required at saturation was 1 g mg. Kinetic experiments revealed that the dilute chromium solutions reached equilibriu...
متن کاملEvaluation of Saccharum bengalense as a Non-Conventional Biomaterial for Biosorption of Mn (II) Ions from Aqueous Solutions
In this study, Saccharum bengalense(SB) was used as biosorbent for the removal of Mn (II) ions from aqueous solution. The influence of biosorbent dose, time, pH and temperature was investigated in the biosorption process. Studies showed that by increasing pH of the solution, metal removing efficiency of Saccharum bengalensefrom the aqueous environment was enhanced but to a specific extent, ...
